Gabster in your AI assistant

What you can ask

Everything you can ask your assistant to do in Gabster, area by area, with example requests and what each one uses.

Write requests in your own words, in Arabic or English. The examples below are what owners ask every day; your assistant works out which Gabster actions to run. If you have more than one AI Agent or project, say which one, or ask "Work on [name]": your assistant then uses that AI Agent in every chat until you choose another.

For how changes are approved and undone, see Control and approval.

Build from your website or files

Ask, for example:

  • "Build my Gabster agent from our website: …"
  • "Here's our price list and menu, add them."
  • "Add my store's products from this file."
  • "What's my agent missing to answer customers well?"

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can read a public web page by itself, and add a whole website, one page, a file or plain text to your AI Agent's knowledge. A website or a page uses one of your plan's web-page slots, and a file uses a file slot; text uses no slot. Before using a slot, it tells you.
  • It writes your business up as rows in one Excel workbook, one topic per row, then publishes the workbook to your live AI Agent. The first publish uses one of your plan's file slots; later publishes replace it in the same slot.
  • Products can come from a CSV file; a new import replaces the products imported before.
  • Social media, Google Maps or Business Profile, YouTube and link-in-bio pages can't be read. Give your website, a file or a few lines about your business.
  • Building and editing use no credit.

Fix and improve answers

Ask, for example:

  • "It told a customer delivery takes 3 days; it's 2."
  • "What couldn't it answer this week?"
  • "Fix the specialty coffee price: it's 18 riyals now."
  • "Why did it give that answer?"

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can list the questions your AI Agent couldn't answer. Give it the answers and it adds them; your AI Agent uses them from then on.
  • A correction is sorted into a fact, a rule or a change of tone, so it lands in the right place.
  • It can find a passage in your live knowledge and edit or remove it. A passage removed from a web page can't be brought back by reading the page again: remove the page and add it again instead.
  • Editing uses no credit. A re-test, or asking why it gave an answer, replays your AI Agent and uses about 1 credit per reply.

Tone, rules and goals

Ask, for example:

  • "Make it friendly, short, Saudi dialect."
  • "Never promise a delivery date; take their number and say we'll confirm."
  • "Its goal is to collect the customer's number before a handoff."
  • "If someone asks for special pricing, hand them to the sales team."

Good to know:

  • Your assistant adds one rule at a time, or replaces your AI Agent's persona, and checks every new rule against the existing ones. When two conflict, it shows you both and asks which to keep.
  • Saving a new rule uses no credit; your assistant then tests it once on your live AI Agent, which uses about 1 credit.
  • Goals come from a fixed list of common goals, such as collecting the customer's number.
  • It can check your instructions for problems, show the last 20 changes made through the connector, and bring back an earlier version.
  • "Switch to human mode" makes new conversations wait for your team; "Hand it back to the agent" sends new conversations to your AI Agent again. Conversations already going keep the mode they're in.

Test it like a customer

Ask, for example:

  • "Test it with the questions my customers really ask."
  • "Make sure it always gets prices and cancellation right."
  • "Give me a link to try it on my phone."

Good to know:

  • A single question runs at once and uses about 1 credit. A test of 2 to 6 questions, or a run of your saved tests (up to 60 questions per run), shows its cost first and uses about 1 credit per question asked, more if your AI Agent opens a ticket or makes a booking during the test. Saved tests whose answers were already checked against an unchanged AI Agent keep their result at no cost.
  • Your assistant can save questions as a test set, turn a real conversation into a test (with phone numbers and emails hidden), and compare two runs.
  • A test link lets anyone chat with your AI Agent before it's live, on a phone or computer, without using a channel. It lasts up to 7 days, turns itself off after 100 replies by default, and each reply uses 1 credit. A new link turns the old one off. Test-link chats appear in your inbox.
  • Tests run on your live AI Agent; see Tests are real.

Your website chat's look

Ask, for example:

  • "Use our colour and logo; greet in Arabic."
  • "Change the welcome message."
  • "Add a quick question: Do you deliver to Riyadh?"

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can change the website chat's colours, logo, name and quick questions, and the welcome message. The welcome message is the first message of every new conversation on all your channels, including WhatsApp and Instagram, not only the website chat. These use no credit.
  • Hiding "Powered by Gabster" needs the Remove Gabster branding add-on, which you add from your dashboard's subscription page. See Customize.

Go live

Ask, for example:

  • "Is it ready? Connect it to WhatsApp."
  • "Connect it to Instagram."
  • "Put it on my website and send the code to my developer."
  • "What do I share so customers find it?"

See Go live from the chat for how each channel connects.

Your daily inbox

Ask, for example:

  • "Who's waiting for a human? Reply to the refund one."
  • "Switch to human mode, we're in."
  • "Hand it back to the agent, we're done for the day."
  • "Find the conversations that mention late delivery this month."

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can list, read and search conversations. Search finds whole words in any order, and understands Arabic prefixes and letter forms.
  • It can review what your AI Agent told customers, by default over the last 24 hours and up to 40 conversations at a time, newest first, and flag promises with nothing behind them, unsupported numbers, handoffs and failures.
  • It can reply to a customer, hand the conversation back to your AI Agent, assign it, add an internal note, file it in a folder, and use or manage saved replies.
  • A reply is a real message and can't be unsent; your AI Agent stays paused in that conversation until you hand it back. Closing tells the customer and can't be reopened; your AI Agent answers the customer's next message.
  • Replies to website chat conversations can't be sent from your assistant, because they wouldn't reach the visitor: answer those in Customer Conversations in the dashboard.
  • Your own replies use no credit.

What customers ask

Ask, for example:

  • "How many WhatsApp chats this week?"
  • "What do customers ask most?"
  • "Review what the agent told customers in the last 24 hours."
  • "What needs me today?"
  • "How did this week go?"

Good to know:

  • The weekly report compares a week with the one before: new conversations and where they stand, customer messages, replies by your AI Agent and by your team, the busiest day, tickets, new customers, unhappy customers and questions it couldn't answer.
  • Exact counts of conversations, customers, messages or tickets can be broken down by day, channel, status, AI Agent, teammate, tag, sender or ticket type. Times are in UTC.
  • Numbers and reports use no credit.

Customers

Ask, for example:

  • "Find the customer with the number 05…"
  • "Tag everyone who asked about wholesale as Wholesale."
  • "Add these customers and tag them Eid offer."
  • "Give me a list of my VIP customers."

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can find, add and update customers, and add or remove tags, up to 50 customers at a time.
  • A list of customers with their contact details is shown to you as a preview first, because the details leave Gabster and go into the chat. It comes as a CSV, up to 500 customers per page.
  • Deleted customers are hidden, not destroyed, and can't be brought back from the chat.

WhatsApp campaigns

Ask, for example:

  • "Send our VIP customers the Eid offer with their name and 20% off."
  • "Schedule it for Friday 9am."
  • "Send it to me first so I can see it."
  • "How did last week's campaign do?"

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can draft a template for you to review, then submit it to Meta. Once submitted, a template can't be edited or deleted from Gabster.
  • A campaign can go to one or more tags, to chosen customers, or to everyone. By default it goes to your WhatsApp customers; you can include customers from other channels who left a phone number. Up to 10,000 customers per campaign.
  • The preview shows who receives it after removing customers with no phone and duplicate numbers, a few messages exactly as customers will read them, and today's limits.
  • A campaign can be sent now or scheduled, and a scheduled campaign can be cancelled before it goes out. Sent messages can't be unsent.
  • Each message has a WhatsApp cost, paid from your WhatsApp Wallet (or billed by Meta to your WhatsApp Business account if your number isn't on Gabster's WhatsApp billing), and uses your plan's daily campaign quota, even when Meta rejects it.
  • Only your first 25 templates can be seen or sent from the chat.

Bookings

Ask, for example:

  • "Set up 45-minute consultations, Sunday to Thursday 9 to 5."
  • "Book Nora tomorrow at 10."
  • "What's booked for tomorrow?"
  • "Move Ahmed's appointment to Thursday."

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can create calendars and branches, set booking hours and the booking form, show available times for the next 14 days, and book, move or cancel appointments.
  • You book from the chat. Your AI Agent can't book for customers by itself in a conversation yet.
  • Undoing a booking cancels it and the customer is told. A cancelled booking can't be brought back.

Team and tickets

Ask, for example:

  • "Invite Sara to handle chats, but she can't delete customers."
  • "Open a refund ticket and give it to billing."
  • "Who handles conversations when the agent hands off?"
  • "Set Omar's working hours to Sunday to Thursday, 9 to 5."

Good to know:

  • Your assistant can invite teammates as agents or admins, change their access and status, and manage departments, technicians and working hours. An admin never gets billing or deleting your AI Agent.
  • It can create ticket types, open, take, transfer and resolve tickets. A ticket uses 1 credit and the customer gets a confirmation; undoing a ticket only closes it.
  • Changing a ticket sets its status or who it's assigned to. A note on how it was resolved is added when you resolve it.
  • Taking a ticket also takes its conversation: your AI Agent stops answering that conversation until you hand it back. Your assistant tells you before it does this.

Undo, control and credits

Ask, for example:

  • "Undo the last change."
  • "Which assistants are connected to my account?"
  • "How many credits are left?"
  • "Open my dashboard."

Good to know:

  • Undo always shows what it will take back first. See Control and approval for what can't be undone.
  • "Open my dashboard" emails you a one-time sign-in link, valid for one hour.
  • Your assistant can show your plan, what's left of each limit and what each action costs. Upgrading gives you a Stripe link. Moving to a cheaper plan or cancelling is done in your dashboard's billing settings; cancelling stops the next renewal. In ChatGPT, plans and payments aren't shown.
